P.S.
A HUGE +1 to cooperplace and rumphy's suggestion on the timing belt. If you have the slightest doubt that the belt was done by 100K then do it if the car is in good enough order to warrant the expenditure. To save doubling up on labour in the case of a subsequent failures have the belt, tensioners, cam seals and water pump done at the same time along with the rear plugs and check the rocker cover gaskets and plug seals while you are going there as the valley cover and throttle body and plenum etc pretty well need to come off to do it anyway.
It's not an insignificant outlay but it can double the lifetime of the engine which has a really solid bottom end often lasting 300k plus km but being an interference engine ... if you break that belt kids the engine goodbye. Mal is said to be "the" man as stated above, and it's a lot cheaper than another car especially when you know the history of the one you have.
My Magna is also a family hand down (since new) so I just spend on it as required and accidents not withstanding I expect another 10 years plus out of her.
